Space tech company mu Space announced today it has signed multiple satellite service deals with seven companies from Asia-Pacific.
mu Space’s new partners, which names will be revealed soon, consisted of telcos, tech service providers and private enterprises.
Based on the signed agreements, mu Space will allocate 24 Gbps of high-throughput satellite capacity for their new partners in the region. Most of the satellite capacity will be used to provide data connectivity and mobility services to consumers in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand.

According to the company’s plan, mu Space expects to launch its own high-throughput satellite within 2022. The satellite is planned to be on geostationary orbit with coverage across Asia-Pacific, and will be used to fill in the growing demand for satellite connectivity in smart cities and for Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G devices.
