In this edition of mu Space Sit Downs, James gives us a look into his early vision of mu Space and his passion for the aerospace industry.

What was your earliest vision for mu Space? Was it always focused on telecommunications and satellites, or was there a broader scope?
Telecommunication has always been a core focus. However, the initial process also involved space vehicles, space suits, and space sustainability. These aspects are still part of mu Space's ethos, but currently, telecommunication and internet services take precedence. We are particularly focused on the manufacturing of small satellites and have started developing small satellites specifically for communication purposes, however we can also tailor our satellites to meet our customers needs. Our primary goal is to become experts in the space industry. Consequently, we prioritize space sustainability and the development of cutting-edge technologies to support the industry in building extraordinary advancements that enhance the quality of life for people.

How did your experience of working in a top aerospace organization in USA, lead you to becoming a founder of mu Space Corp?
James's passion for aerospace began at a young age, attending aerospace shows with his father and dreaming of becoming a pilot. Pursuing further studies in the United States, he gained knowledge and experience in the field. Working with top aerospace companies like Northrop Grumman, James honed his skills and expertise. His work involved satellites, unmanned vehicles, and radio frequency radiation. James's involvement in satellite projects provided insights into satellite systems, while his exploration of unmanned vehicles contributed to cutting-edge technologies. His expertise in radio frequency radiation enabled him to tackle complex challenges in aerospace applications.

What is the main strength and push behind mu Space going from a dream to pioneer in the aerospace industry in Southeast Asia? How did you overcome the challenges and obstacles you encountered while building mu Space into a pioneer in the aerospace industry?
Our greatest strength is our ability to overcome obstacles. Us at mu Space, we like to do difficult things, never giving up even when we are tired. We fall down frequently, but there is always a driving force for us to get back up. However, we must learn why we fall, why we lose. Fear is a natural instinct within humans, but staying still and not trying to succeed is even scarier. I am willing to fall ten times, a hundred times if I can walk from point A to point B. I am determined.”

Can you share some insights into the initial stages of mu Space’s development? What were the key milestones or turning points that shaped the company’s trajectory?
mu Space had the opportunity to participate in four different payload launches with Blue Origin, gaining valuable experience in space missions. James also played a crucial role in constructing Factory 1, mu Space's first major factory, showcasing his expertise in manufacturing. James secured an exclusive deal with OneWeb, collaborating with Southeast Asian internet service providers to bring connectivity to remote areas. This initiative aimed to bridge the digital divide and empower underserved communities. His work with Blue Origin, Factory 1, and OneWeb reflects his dedication to advancing aerospace technology and improving lives through connectivity. James's contributions have made a significant impact in the aerospace industry and Southeast Asian communities.
