mu Space Year in Review 2025
Pioneering Thailand’s Space Future: Milestones in Satellite Innovation, Partnerships, and Historic Achievements
As 2025 draws to a close, mu Space Corp reflects on a transformative year marked by groundbreaking advancements in satellite technology, strategic international collaborations, and historic contributions to space exploration. From developing cutting-edge antennas to sending Thai cuisine to the International Space Station and forging lunar partnerships, we’ve strengthened Thailand’s position in the global space ecosystem while driving innovation in digital infrastructure and sustainable space solutions.
February: Breakthrough in S-Band Patch Antenna Testing
In February 2025, mu Space achieved a significant milestone with the successful testing of our advanced S-band patch antenna at the High Frequency Systems Laboratory (HFS) within the Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS). Conducted on February 13 as part of the Meta-Surface Patch Antenna Project in collaboration with GISTDA, this testing refined the antenna’s performance for reliable signal transmission in space environments, paving the way for next-generation satellite communications.
April: Successful Antenna Delivery to GISTDA
Building on years of R&D, mu Space delivered the meta-surface S-band patch antenna to GISTDA on April 3, 2025, at the National Satellite Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) Center in Si Racha, Chon Buri. This marked the culmination of a journey from concept in 2020 to delivery, positioning Thailand as a competitive player in the global space supply chain and reducing reliance on foreign technologies.
June: Thai Cuisine Reaches the International Space Station
June 2025 brought a historic cultural and technological triumph: Thai chicken dishes from CPF arrived on the ISS via Axiom Mission 4, docking on June 26. In partnership with CPF and Nanoracks LLC, mu Space coordinated logistics, safety certification, and compliance making this the first Thai food certified to NASA’s standards. This milestone showcased Thailand’s aerospace ingenuity and cross-industry collaboration.
September: Strategic MoU with Japan’s DigitalBlast for Lunar Exploration
On September 30, 2025, mu Space announced a Memorandum of Understanding with Japan’s DigitalBlast, Inc., following discussions in May. The partnership focuses on lunar mission organization, life science experiments on the ISS’s “Kibo” module, human resource development, and knowledge sharing advancing sustainable space exploration and inspiring the next generation in Southeast Asia.
Looking Ahead
2025 has been a year of relentless progress for mu Space, solidifying our role as Southeast Asia’s leading space technology company. These achievements not only enhance Thailand’s space ambitions but also contribute to global sustainability and innovation. As we gear up for lunar missions and expanded satellite networks, we’re excited for what’s next.
Thank you to our partners, team, and supporters for making 2025 unforgettable. Here’s to reaching new heights in 2026!
