Satellite Network Engineer

Main Responsibility

  • Design the network architecture for satellite communication. 
  • Develop software systems for satellite-based software defined networks – emphasizing on the reliability, availability, low latency, and high capacity. 
  • Collaborate with electronics engineers to develop hardware and software to operate flight networks. 
  • Coordinate and support team in operation of satellite missions in network aspects. 
  • Improve network performance based upon system performance feedback

Qualification: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. 
  • Excellent understanding of service provider networks including but not limited to; 

Connectivity (IPv4, IPv6) 

Switching (MPLS, QinQ) 

Routing (OSPF, IS-IS) 

Subscriber Management (QoS) 

Network security and anti-DDoS measures 

Internet services (DNS, NTP) 

  • Familiar with network health monitoring systems (e.g., Observium). 
  • Hands-on experience in operating an enterprise class network is beneficial.
