Material Engineer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

      • Responsible for the development, test, and performance evaluation of material
      • Collaborate with other engineers, subject matter experts, and technicians to solve complex problem
      • Work closely with product design engineering teams to define requirements
      • Oversee additive manufacturing processes ensuring products delivered as required
      • Manage a team of engineers to solve problems
      • Participate in projects as requested
      • Using CAM software (MasterCAM/Robotmaster) to plan the path for the robotic arm.
      • Programming printing parameter to the industrial robot controller.
      • Maintain robotic arms and related machines in the area.
      • Configure I/O maps and communication interfaces across our industrial robotic system to improvement efficiency and quality of printed parts
      • Diagnose defects from wire arc additive manufacturing and suggest corrective actions, both in repair and process optimization.
      • Make recommendations on general part design based on limitations of the process
      • Develop printing parameters (wire feeding speed, current, volt, traveling speed) that meet part requirements.
      • Fit, form parts, and clean parts as required and setup 3D metal printing equipment in preparation for printing
      • Visually inspect own work to verify printed part quality
 
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
 

Required qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical engineer, Materials or Metallurgy Engineer, Robotic Welding Engineer or related field.
      • Experienced in computer aided design software (SolidWorks or relevant)
      • Knowledge of computer aided manufacturing (Mastercam or relevant)
      • Knowledge of welding technology and passionate about additive manufacturing technology
      • Experienced in programing industrial robot or programing on C++, Python
      • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing Methods, such as UT, PT, and VT
      • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including suggesting appropriate modifications to welding equipment to improve the process
